THE GOEDEKERS

Nikki is a graphic designer. In her professional career, she works downtown in Indianapolis at a creative firm. In her spare time, she loves taking photographs, designing web sites, and designing wedding invitations. She obtained her BFA in visual communications from Herron School of Art & Design in Indianapolis.

Jeff is a dentist on the Southside of Indianapolis. He grew up in Whiteland and attended Franklin College. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University.

We both like to travel, be outdoors, and participate in sports. We are also big Colts, IU Basketball and Notre Dame Football fans.

We are members of the Weimaraner Club of America, Weimaraner Club of Greater Louisville, Weimaraner Club of Northern Illinois, Weimaraner Club of Southern Michigan, and the Indianapolis Obedience Training Club. We have enjoyed showing our dogs in the show ring, hunt/rating tests, and working with them in obedience. Every year we try to attend the National Specialty as well as numerous other local specialties and shows. Through these experiences we have met many wonderful people in both the world of Weimaraners and other breeds. We are very fortunate to have developed a close relationship with Sharon Manning of Pewterrun Weimaraners in Kansas City. She has and will continue to be a great friend and mentor to us for years to come.

ABOUT BELLAMY WEIMARANERS

The word Bellamy can be translated in Old French to mean “Handsome Friend.” There is no doubt that Weimaraners are a beautiful breed. Unlike many other breeds, Weimaraners have this mesmerizing personality about them. They are meant to be more than just your pet, they are meant to be a true companion and friend.

At Bellamy Weimaraners, we strive to improve this amazing breed by occasionally having a litter that is focused on producing HEALTHY and VERSATILE Weimaraners who can excel both in the show ring and in the field. We support the WCA code of ethics and believe in selective breeding principles to accomplish this. Our goal is to produce healthy Weimaraners, sound in temperament and body, that can achieve excellence in conformation, hunting, obedience, agility, and tracking. However, our ultimate goal is that our Weims will be great companions and integral members of their families.

We feel that it is our duty as a breeder to stand with you throughout the life of your Weim. You will always have a place in our family. We will assist you in whatever activities you may want to participate in with your dog and we will be there when you have questions. If you’re interested in being owned by one of our Weimaraners, please fill out a Prospective Puppy Owner Questionnaire.

Please know that Weimaraners are very active, athletic, and energetic dogs. They need companionship and are definitely not the right dog for everyone. If you are unsure if a Weimaraner is right for you, take the Weim Quiz, supplied by Weimaraner Rescue. There are many Weims in rescue throughout the country looking for their forever homes. These dogs will make excellent companions and we would be happy to help you find the perfect Weimaraner in rescue. Whether you are looking for a family pet, a show dog, or a field dog, PLEASE only work with reputable breeders that care about their puppies as much as you will.
